First day in Oslo

 We arrived in Oslo yesterday, in the evening hours.   We took the fast train (Flytoget train) to the downtown central station where Craig met us and helped navigate us to his apartment.   We got to bed before midnight and  I slept like a rock.  This morning Craig made us some breakfast and then Ann and I went downtown so the guys could have their work day.  We visited the famous Munch Museum which is near the Oslo Opera house.  It’s a stunning, tall building with great views of the Oslo harbour.  If you’re a fan of Munch’s art, it is a must see.  We went wondering around and had lunch in a quaint little coffee shop which also served as a tiny flower shop.  I had a fantastic salad with fried halloumi.

We got back to Craig and Nick’s place before 5:00 pm because we wanted to join the guys on their walk to view a condo that is for sale in the neighborhood.   The guys are considering purchasing a property in the not too distant future and this was their first ever condo viewing.  It was really special to be able to experience this with them.  

This evening the guys made us some incredible homemade tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches for supper.  Later, we went for a nice long paseo to get a few groceries and walk through some beautiful green spaces which exist all around here.  Oslo is so green and inviting at this time of the year.
